Leamington and Hereford fans donated an amazing total of £1004 in the bucket collection today at Your Co-op Community Stadium in aid of the Ukraine appeal. The funds will be split between the Leamington Polish Association (LPA) and Disasters Emergency Committee.
The LPA have done a superb job in shipping over goods to support Ukrainian refugees and continue to do so, and the goods also donated by Brakes and Bulls fans, with an estimated value of £500, will join those goods that the LPA are shipping over.
Many thanks to all fans who donated and to the Brakes Trust and club officials for organising. We may only be a sixth tier club but we can still play our part as proven today!

The horrific ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine both within the country and for all the vast numbers of refugees is something we find hard to imagine from afar. We as a football club, in partnership with the Brakes Trust, wish to play our small part in supporting the people of Ukraine and will provide an opportunity at this Saturdays game at home to Hereford FC.
We will provide a collection point within the ground near to the clubhouse within the ground at the rear of the main turnstiles. Stewards will direct you to it if you are unsure of the location. The list of acceptable items you can donate include the following:
First aid kits and supplies, torches and batteries, blankets, sleeping bags, bedding, thermal duvets (high TOG rating), towels, electric kettles, handwash, disposable nappies, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, bin bags, disposable tableware (cups/plates/cutlery), power banks for charging mobile phones. We not want food items.
In addition we will be holding a ‘bucket collection’ with the proceeds being split between the local Leamington Polish Association (who have already shipped a lots of goods) and to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) – Ukraine Appeal.
It would be great if everyone could make some form of contribution, however small. It all adds up.
