Leamington Football Club can announce that our PA team for the new season will be Jack Godbert-Brown and Benn Lane.

The two will share the PA announcing duties throughout the Southern League season, taking over from Graham Hobbins.

On behalf of everyone at the club we’d like to congratulate Jack and Benn and welcome them to the media team.

Paul Holleran has confirmed that Dan Turner has signed for National League North side Brackley Town for an undisclosed fee.

The attacker signed for the Brakes at the height of the curtailed 2020/21 season, scoring on his debut at Chorley before the season was curtailed following that game.

Picking up the golden boot in both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, the Stone based striker - who scored a brace  in  the FA Cup against his home town club,  Old Alleynians,  for whom his Father used to play for - also won the Manager's Player of the Season award in his first full season at the club.

In 86 appearances, Turner scored 33 times for the Brakes with several memorable goals including a late leveller against local rivals Banbury United, the first goal in front of fans at Your Co-op Community Stadium in well over a year in our 2-1 win over Spennymoor and the second goal in the Birmingham Senior Cup final in 2022 just to name a few.

Brakes boss Paul Holleran said "We wish Dan all the best and thank him for his efforts in his time at the club. He's scored some great goals for us but most of all he was a real pleasure to work with and he's certainly a young man who his parents can be proud of.

"He's got a desire to play in the National League and we wish him all the best at Brackley and beyond. He will be missed, but it's football and we wish him all the best for his new adventure and thank him for always giving everything every week. Even when it was dragging, he gave that extra 10%. He cared about the club and his teammates and I'll miss him around the club every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday."

Dan commented "I'd just like to send a massive thank you to the staff, players and fans for the past two years at the club, where I've been surrounded by great people and made many great memories. I will always be thankful to the club and the gaffer for giving me a platform to play first team football and help me find my love for the game again. I'm sure next season will be a positive one and will see the club get back where they belong in the National League North."

Paul Holleran has further bolstered his attacking options for the new season with the signing of Henry Landers from Banbury United.

The 23 year old striker has spent the last three seasons at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium, scoring 19 goals in 92 appearances and helping the Puritans to the Southern League Premier Division Central title in 2022, and then consolidation in their first season in the National League North last time out. He became something of a fans favourite for his knack of scoring crucial goals.

Prior to signing for Banbury in July 2020, Henry came through Oxford City’s youth system, but his first season in senior football came at North Leigh in the Southern League Division 1 Central, where his 24 goals played a big part in helping the village side stay in the division. This brought him to the attention of National League side Maidenhead United, who snapped him up for the 2019/20 season. He spent time on loan back at North Leigh, hitting double figures in the goals column once more, and also at Cheshunt.

I’m delighted to get this signing over the line,’ said the manager. He’s a young, exciting player with lots of potential. I think he needs to nail down a position; we need to invest a little bit of time into that, and I think we’ll have a really exciting player on our hands. We are looking forward to working with Henry.’

The player himself had this to say: ‘I am delighted to have signed for Leamington. After the first conversation I had with the gaffer I knew it would be the right move for me. It’s a club with a lot of history. I hope I can help the team to have a really positive season, and I can’t wait to get started and enjoy my football here.’

We would like to welcome Henry and his family to Leamington Football Club, and hope that he enjoys a successful time with us.
