At this Saturday's home friendly against Halesowen Town, we will be making our eagerly anticipated Harbury Lane End naming rights draw to see who will be sponsoring our famous home end for our National League North return.

It's now a final call on entering the draw!

All your business needs to do is purchase a pitchside board to be in with the chance of winning the prize worth £10,000 with vast exposure to not just Leamington or the country but also around the world following the news of DAZN's new seven year broadcast rights partnership with the Vanarama National League.

Everyone who purchases a board will not only be entered into the draw but also receive two season tickets for the upcoming campaign, worth more than the entry price itself! In addition to the main prize, there will also be two further runner up prizes of a hospitality package at a home league game of your choice for four people.

  • Standard Pitchside Board
    • These boards are a fantastic and inexpensive opportunity to promote your business at the ground. With over 15,000 in attendance at men's games in 2023/24 and more at ladies, veterans etc games, your business would be visible not only to these visitors to our ground but also all who watch our highlights packages on YouTube and in the background on posts on social media.
    • Entry into the Harbury Lane End draw.
    • Two season tickets
    • 3000x750mm
    • £500 + VAT
  • Double Pitchside Board
    • Much like the standard pitchside board, these provide a fantastic opportunity to promote your business at the home of football in Warwickshire both in person and on social media, but at double the size!
    • Entry into the Harbury Lane End draw.
    • Two season tickets
    • 6000x750mm

It's with a heavy heart that we reveal Jack Lane has made the tough decision to step away from football due to further injury complications following his ACL injury sustained at Needham Market in December 2023.

The 31-year-old made 215 appearances in the gold and black, scoring 11 times - most notably a stunner from outside the box at Curzon Ashton during the Covid season.

Everyone at Leamington FC thanks Jack for his loyalty, passion and energy that he brought to the club over six seasons and we wish him and his family nothing but the best - and hope to see them down in Warwickshire often.

Brakes boss Paul Holleran said, “Sadly Jack picked up a long term injury in December, and after scans we realised it was damage to the ACL. Jack’s been going through rehab, as fans would have seen towards the end of the season, got himself back to light training at the back end of the season and was jumping for joy at Telford - he looked alright when he was doing gambols on the pitch!

“He came back into pre-season, but we always knew that with the situation Jack was in where he went through rehab and not an operation that there was always a risk and sadly after some sessions it’s proved not to be okay. The difficult position is Jack’s got himself into a situation where his knee is solid and okay for day-to-day activities such as working and going to the gym but sadly twisting, turning, jumping and landing is where he’s found it difficult and as a result he’s taken the decision to step away from football - one to rehab his injury so he can live a normal life, and at 31 the decisions you make are different to when you’re 21. When you’re married with a child and a business, you have to weigh everything up.

“Jack Lane is like a number of players we’ve had over the years. I’ve been lucky to manage him and we’ve been lucky to have him at the club - he’s been a massive part of our success and he’s from a great family. It gets harder and harder every year losing players who’ve played lots of games, contributed massively and do really care about the football club. We have to try and keep evolving the club and developing younger talent, which Jack’s played an expert part in too with taking younger lads under his wing.

“We’d have all loved for Jack to come in and on the front foot to be heavily involved this season but sadly that won’t happen. First and foremost we want Jack to be okay and able to operate functionally for his business and his family. We’re sad to see him step away from football but glad to have had him for so long.

“We wish him and his family nothing but the best, and we’re sure we’ll be seeing him in Leamington over the coming months and we look forward to that.”

Leamington Football Club and our charity partner, Brakes Community Foundation CIO, are delighted to announce that from season 2024/25, all junior teams that were previously affiliated to the club as Leamington Brakes Football Club, will now be known as Leamington FC Juniors and reside under the umbrella of our charity, Brakes Community Foundation CIO.

The addition of the junior teams as one affiliation, will only enhance our already thriving community programme and importantly help align and further develop our current football pathway which offers a variety of sessions for aspiring footballers from age 3, all the way through to our successful Further Education Football and Education Programme (Under 19s).

By welcoming the juniors under one umbrella, it allows us as a Club and Charity to utilise additional staff resources to support the current committee with training sessions, managers / coaches Continual Professional Development (CPD), and importantly have a wider safeguarding resource to ensure we can support the welfare of all individuals associated with us here at Leamington Football Club and Brakes Community Foundation CIO, something the County FA are very supportive of.

We look forward to accessing additional funding and resources through the FA and their partners, as well as gift aid due to our Charity status.

Head of Football Development Chris Knott, had this to say regarding the impending changes: We are delighted to be welcoming the junior sections to work with us at the Club (Leamington FC) and Charity (Brakes Community Foundation CIO) starting in this coming season.

"We have a plethora of staff and resources at our disposal which we believe will only enhance the current junior section and all the hard work Matt Turner, his players, management teams and families have achieved to this point.

"As a Football Club and Charity, we felt it was imperative to have all of our teams under one umbrella with a clear staffing and reporting structure to enhance the experience for all players and families associated with us.

"Birmingham County FA have been really supportive throughout, and identified the positive change was required in order for us to access more funding and cement our place as one of the leading providers in the County. We will continue to work closely with them throughout the season.

"This season we have seen success on the pitch for all of our sections, and lots of progress for the charity, Brakes Community Foundation CIO, off the pitch, as it continues to grow our community footprint."

If you would like any further information regarding the boys and girls junior section, or any other enquiries please email chris.knott@leamingtonfc.co.uk
