It is with great sadness that Brian Knibb, former director, has passed away from a long standing illness overnight.
The whole Brakes family sends our deepest thoughts and condolences to Brian’s family and friends.
Brian became a director in 1991 until 1997 whilst the club was mothballed and was part of the few that kept our club afloat in paying our fees to Birmingham FA every year, returning as a director when the club resurrected, and played a vital role in getting the club back up and running and our successes of the early 2000s.
He stepped away in 2007 because he had felt he had done his bit and continued to support the Brakes. He was a regular visitor to the ground until his health prevented him from attending whilst acting as a club ambassador in welcoming visiting directors.
As soon as funeral arrangements are known, details will be communicated via club social media & website.
Our National League North game against Chester, postponed due to the Seals' FA Cup progress, will now be played on Tuesday 19 November, 19:45
Further details to follow.
Leamington FC are thrilled to reveal a brand new partnership with Her Game Too.
A fan-led non profit organisation, Her Game Too are committed to eradicating sexism in football, ensuring everyone can enjoy the sport regardless of gender by providing a safe and supportive environment for all female supporters, promoting their involvement and engagement with the game.
We become the seventh Vanarama National League North club to commit to the cause alongside an array of Premier League, EFL and other non-league clubs, bringing awareness of the challenges faced by females in football to the forefront of conversation.
The Brakes' support for the cause will be clearly displayed on our social channels, website, matchday magazine and throughout Your Co-op Community Stadium.
