George linked up with Leamington in June 2024 after a couple of outstanding seasons at Step 3 with Barwell in the Southern League Premier Division Central, the second of which saw him scoop a hat trick of Player of the Year awards at the Leicestershire club.Our fourth new arrival of the close season, the 22 year old was hot property, but after hearing of Paul Holleran’s plans he was eager to sign and test himself in the National League North for the first time. It was a test he passed largely with flying colours, as he made himself at home quickly, scoring three times in home games in his first dozen games for Brakes, with five in total, and most were spectacular efforts as George proved himself to be a handful in the attacking third as well as at the back. 

 

A versatile operator who can play in multiple positions across the back line, George turned out for Loughborough Students in the United Counties League while studying at the town's University, helping them reach the FA Vase Semi Final in 2022. He then signed for our old Southern League rivals Weymouth in the National League South prior to the beginning of the following season, but a return to university saw him quickly link up with Barwell on a dual registration.
