Leamington FC are delighted to announce the signing of Joel Shambrook, on loan from Solihull Moors.
The Cubbington-raised right sided defender will link up with Paul Holleran’s side for an initial month, looking to take the next step up following previous loan deals at Studley, Darlaston Town and Stourbridge.
Paul Holleran said “I’m happy to get Joel on board. He’s a player that we’ve seen in his loan spells at Darlaston and Stourbridge, and he’s equipped himself very well at those clubs.
“We’ve got one or two injuries in the squad at the moment, and it’s a bit stretched, so we’ve moved to bring in a very capable young man who will add something different to the squad. We’re looking forward to having him with us!”
Joel spoke for the first time on joining the Brakes, saying “I’m very excited to be joining Leamington on loan, as a local lad I have grown up in the area and to be able to represent the team at such a high level as step 2 is a great opportunity for myself as well.
“I spoke to Paul a couple times last season, during my loan at Stourbridge, so I know about his ambitions and work ethic for the club and team which is great. I’ve only heard good things from fellow teammates so I jumped at the opportunity to play under him with the great bunch of lads he already has and I’m excited to get started.”
Joel will wear the number 22 during his time in gold and black.
Joe Doyle-Charles has joined Northern Premier League Division One West side Hednesford Town for an undisclosed fee.
The central midfielder joined the Brakes from Coalville Town in the summer, and has made fifteen appearances in gold and black.
Paul Holleran said "In the short spell that Joe’s been with us, he’s been great to work with - a real character and we wish him luck in signing for a super football club like Hednesford. He will be a great asset for them and Joe and his family will always be welcome back at Leamington."
Tuesday's scheduled game against Chester was postponed due to the frozen pitch being under a layer of snow.

Leamington FC are pleased to announce that Mark Edwards has joined the Board of Directors following an eleven year association with the club since he first started watching his son Jack playing in Brakes colours.
Mark is vastly experienced in the financial and commercial sector having worked for Lloyds Bank PLC for 41 years, last holding the position of Commercial Business Development Director for the Midlands. Since then he has worked seven years as a commercial consultant and retains a significant list of contacts in those fields.

The Leamington FC Volunteer and Supporters Club are inviting Warwick University Sports Clubs and Societies to the “Massive Student Social” as Leamington travel to Kidderminster.
A full day of action is planned on Saturday 30 November; meeting at 9am at Benjamin Satchwell’s for breakfast before getting the 10:30 train to Kidderminster, via a stop in Birmingham, to watch the uni's local National League side in action.
Brakes fans will largely be making the trip via train, and train tickets are a bargain, costing just £9.80 rerun per person when three or more tickets are bought - and that’s without any railcard reductions!
A large student contingent has been present (and vocal!) at all Brakes home games this season, and it will be great to have their backing on the road for a derby day where a good time is bound to be had by all!
Train tickets can be purchased at https://shorturl.at/TM9mx
