Paul Holleran has confirmed that Tyrone Barnett has left the club.

The 38 year old striker teamed up with his former manager and has scored 10 goals in 46 appearances for the Brakes.

Paul Holleran said, “I’d like to thank Tyrone immensely for his fantastic efforts this season. At the start of the season we went with an experienced striker and young up and coming striker - and what a pair they’ve been!

“I’ve said many times before that I’ve been very fortunate to manage Ty in both his early days and now his late playing days. He’s done a fabulous job with our academy, even though travelling has been hard. Going back into the National League North was sadly never an option for him.

“His goals were just a small contribution - his presence, assists - I’ve been so fortunate to manage him. He’s close to joining another step 3 club in a similar role to us where he passed his UEFA B and we wish him all the best if he does take the pathway and decide to go into coaching. He’s been a pleasure to work with, and we wish him and his family all the best. Hopefully we’ll see him around the club next season.”

Everyone at Leamington FC wishes Tyrone and his family all the best, and they will always be welcomed back with open arms.

When Paul Holleran joined Leamington back in 2009, he told the local press that he wanted to make Leamington an established Step 3 club.

Fast forward fifteen years and, still in the dugout on Harbury Lane, the now experienced manager has a track record in Step 3 that any non-league manager would dream of having.

The first major success for Holleran at Leamington came in season 2012/13 when his Warwickshire outfit set new records in winning the Southern Premier League and bringing National League football back to Leamington for the first time in 30 years. Finishing twelve points clear of closest challengers Stourbridge, the Brakes were crowned champions as a young and exciting team with the likes of Richard Batchelor, Liam Daly, Lee Chilton and Craig Owen.

After a two year spell in the National League North, Leamington suffered second season syndrome and were relegated but that didn't harm them. In 2015/16, Holleran guided his side to the Play Off Final, losing out to Hungerford, but once again producing good, young players such as Sam Austin, future Leamington captain Jack Edwards and Courtney Baker-Richardson in the striker's first season at the club.

That defeat only made them bounce back stronger in the following season. A second placed finish led to a home Play Off Semi Final win against a strong Slough Town side and therefore a Play Off Final, which Leamington won at home to secure promotion once again, at Hitchin Town's expense.

The trend of developing players from lower leagues continued, the afforementioned Baker-Richardson scored the winner in the Final and bagged a move to then Premier League Swansea City. Ahmed Obeng and Rob Thompson-Brown were also standouts who broke through in that promotion sealing season.

A six season stint with some of the largest clubs in non-league followed but after relegation in 2022/23, no one expected Leamington to bounce straight back up but as Leamington FCTV commentator Shaun Cashmore perfectly described at full time in a Play Off Final at a sold out New Bucks Head at well backed AFC Telford United, "Paul Holleran has pulled a rabbit out of the hat once more!"

This promotion, as well as being unexpected in terms of the game - not just the entire season - with 5,000 packed into New Bucks Head, really emphasised Holleran's Leamington DNA built in his fifteen years at the club. Young players joined from below - Callum Stewart from Coventry Sphinx, Jiah Medrano from Shepshed Dynamo, Ewan Williams from Coleshill Town, Josh Quaynor from a Halesowen side who were playing in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands last campaign; and these players were blended perfectly once again with experience to create that winning formula.

So, in his last four seasons at Step 3, Paul Holleran has got Leamington promoted three times and reached the Play Off Final on the other occasion. He's shown that financial limitations are no barrier to success at the level and picking up young players from below and developing them works just as well as signing players from divisional rivals and putting them on big money.

You can speak to the manager on Thursday night at Your Co-op Community Stadium as we host a Meet the Manager & Call to Arms event. Doors (and the bar) open at 7pm with Play Off Final footage with the event set to start at 7:30pm.

And yes, we'll save the Birmingham Senior Cup wins for next time...

Following the Brakes excellent Play-Off Final win at AFC Telford United Season 2024-25 will see the team once again ply their trade in the Vanarama National League North.

We will take the field of play against Kidderminster Harriersplus perennial rivals Brackley Town, together with visits to Scunthorpe United and South Shields plus newcomers Radcliffe and Marine to name but a few.

Whilst reviewing admission and season ticket prices the club has had to factor in that costs have risen considerably in the past two years whilst admission and season ticket prices had remained static.  The season ahead also sees us return to a twenty-four team league so an increase of four league fixtures.

Watching football at ourYour Co-op Community Stadium is even more affordable if you take advantage of the clubs 'Early Bird' Season Ticket Offer with a deadline for applications of 30 June, 2024.  You can purchase your season ticket online here, or by using our paper application form here.

We will be hosting a Meet the Manager & Call to Arms event on Thursday at Your Co-op Community Stadium and all supporters are invited.

The event will give supporters the chance to meet the manager and the board, as we outline the challenges ahead - heading back into National League football at the first time of asking after our historic, against the odds, promotion. Supporters can find out different ways of how they can support the club in Step 2, and we will be holding an open discussion on greater fan engagement and volunteer support.

You as fans are so important to the club, and you will be able to voice ideas on how you feel the club can develop revenue streams and improve the matchday experience that we will look to take on board for the 2024/25 season.

The clubhouse will be open from 7pm, with Leamington FCTV highlights of our Play Off Final victory over AFC Telford United on the big screen - the bar will be open, and the event will start at 7:30pm - we envisage this to go on for a couple of hours.

The Southern League Premier Division Central Play Off trophy will also be in attendance, with photo opportunities available in the half hour before the event starts.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!

We are delighted to reveal several sponsorship opportunities for the 2024/25 National League North season following our promotion on Monday!

For information on any of the below opportunities, please contact our Commercial Manager Simon Davies at simon.davies@leamingtonfc.co.uk - we look forward to building more relationships with both local and national companies as we continue our exciting journey.

We would like to also thank our current sponsors, we could not have achieved what was deemed as the impossible without your help, and your support is truly valued by us all!

    • £10,000
  • Standard Pitchside Board
    • These boards are a fantastic and inexpensive opportunity to promote your business at the ground. Firstly I offer a massive thank you to all our fans who have contributed so much in support of the team over the course of the season both home and away.

It has been great to see the ratcheting up in levels of support of the team as we have reached the business end of the season.  Today you truly can make a difference by getting behind the team loud and proud and not going quiet on them during any sticky patches in the game.  Everyone together and you never know where it may take us.

I also make a plea for our fans not to use pyrotechnics within the stadium or encroach on the pitch.  Both are criminal offences and there will be a police presence at the game. AFC Telford United have a state of the art surveillance system (circa 30 cameras) so any one offending will be identified.  We have been advised several times this season by the FA about similar instances involving one or two of our fans.  Please do not put yourselves in the position where you may be prosecuted and/or we may be forced to implement stadium bans on any offending individual, with the club additionally being charged by the FA.  See attached link.

Enjoy the occasion, create a great atmosphere for the team and let’s see if we can help push Hollers and the lads across the finish line.  Come on you Brakes.

We are aware that in the immediate hours following the release of tickets by AFC Telford United at 5pm on Friday for the Play Off Final at AFC Telford on Monday 6th May when their site crashed due to level of demand, an anomaly took place where tickets for  17/18 year olds and U16’s were showing SOLD OUT and a small number of Leamington FC fans in their desire to ensure attendance of children or youths purchased either Adult or Concession tickets for them.

As soon as we became aware of the situation we contacted AFC Telford United and they addressed the situation immediately with further tickets made available in those categories. Whilst it is difficult to establish who has been affected, Leamington FC have made the decision to offer complimentary ticket(s) to the value of your additional cost incurred to a game of your choice (except cup matches) in Season 2024/25.  We are aware of the timelines within which such instances occurred on the ticketing website.

Please email info@leamingtonfc.co.uk providing a copy of your ticket purchase confirmation provided by AFC Telford United and we will issue complimentary tickets for next season, in the coming weeks.
