Leamington will host Stone Old Alleynians in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round. The tie will be played on the weekend of Saturday 18 September.
Currently playing in the Midland League Premier Division after being promoted in season 2020/21 due to league restructuring, despite the season not finishing. They started their FA Cup journey in the Extra Preliminary Round away at our close neighbours Racing Club Warwick, winning 4-0. Four second half goals sunk the Racers who played with 9 men following two second half dismissals. Another Warwickshire side was up in the Preliminary Round as Rugby Town travelled to Wellbeing Park and were defeated 4-2. Anstey Nomads were next up in the First Qualifying Round, and Jack Tomlinson was the man who had his name written in the history books, his first half goal enough to send the Staffordshire side into the Second Qualifying Round for the first time in their history.
Brakes do have an unlikely link to Stone Old Alleynians, with Dan Turner being a former pupil of Alleyne's Academy - the school that the Stone Old Alleynians team was made out of. Dan's Dad Graham used to play in goal for Stone Old Alleynians.
