Leamington FC are delighted to announce a four year partnership with Surridge Sport who will be the club's new official kit suppliers. Surridge’s history dates back to 1863 when they originally started repairing cricket bats and then manufactured them in the following years. They first made an impact in football when they designed the first lace-less synthetic football the SS Cobbler which was selected as the official match ball for the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. At the turn of the 21st century they expanded into the sportswear business and laterally have seen a huge growth in the football arena.
Surridge Sports Sales Director Danny Vilia stated, “Football has been one of the biggest growth areas for Surridge Sport in recent years with more and more clubs joining the brand. With over 500 players within Leamington FC we will be creating designs to match the clubs ambitions and feel a sense of pride when taking to the field. Having Leamington FC on board is testament to the range and quality we can offer and with the thousands of design options available we aim to continue this growth. After sitting down with Jim and the team it was clear to see the direction the club were going and we are very much looking forward to playing our part in this”.
Leamington FC Chairman Jim Scott said, "After conducting a thorough tender process, we are delighted to announce our partnership with Surridge Sport. The ability to create and manufacture our own unique identity in both on and off field apparel is a huge plus for the club. The quality of product on offer is identical to those they supply to professional clubs with other key factors being their extensive stock range allied to well established and flexible ordering and delivery processes that meet the needs of all sections of our club. We look forward to working with Surridge Sport over the years to come”.
“The design process for the new ‘gold and black’ home shirts and ‘royal blue with gold trim’ away shirts has already commenced. When starting the process of finding new suppliers one of our key aims was to engage a company who could deliver us a bespoke kit that reflected both the history of the club and colours worn during its history. We are certain that fans will be excited with the end product which we will be launching in the summer”.
