Paul Holleran gave his reaction to the victory at Telford shortly after the final whistle on Monday...... 

‘We were always mindful that we were going to have to make changes this weekend. Cieron Keane has probably come in earlier than we would have liked. You look at Telford, they’re strong down the middle and they can hurt you down the middle, but if they’ve got a weakness it’s in the wide areas, so that was something that we looked at and thought, we can get after that, and that’s what’s happened as the game’s developed - we’ve managed to get lots of balls into wide areas, and whether it was Josh March or when Ravi Shamsi came on, we’ve got our number 9 players down the sides of the centre halves.

‘In the past a result like this might have been seen as a bit of a smash and grab, but today I think we’ve had more of the ball, I think we’ve had more chances, more possession, more crosses, more entry into the final third. Saturday was excellent, but today was another step up, and I think when you consider the schedule the players have had, and having to play in this heat - some of the performances over the two games… the levels have been… I ask a lot of these players, I’m always trying to get every drop out of them but they’ve even surprised me today, they’ve set new levels, and if you’re involved with Leamington today, you’re proud of those players. It wasn’t so long ago when on a Bank Holiday weekend Nuneaton put four past us, Telford put three past us, and it was difficult, so it’s been a fantastic weekend for us winning two local games at this level of football. We’re delighted and we’ll build on this now hopefully.
