Callum Gittings and Connor Taylor are the latest members of last season’s squad to agree deals for the new season.
Both players turned out over 30 times for the club last season and made big contributions over the course of the season, and Paul Holleran feels the same will be the case in 2019/2020.
‘I am delighted to have retained the services of Callum Gittings for the forthcoming campaign,’ said the Brakes boss. He played a massive part in getting us into the National League North and has done the same in helping us to grow into the league. Like so many of the other lads in the squad he is a good professional and a good lad to work with, and I’m sure he will be a key player for us once again in the new season.’
‘Last summer Connor Taylor was one of our new signings. He probably didn’t get as much game time as he would have liked for various reasons and I’m sure he feels that the season could have gone slightly better for him. Not all players hit the ground running when they sign for a new club, it can take time to bed in and settle after being in a different environment, and I’m pretty sure that Connor is one of those players. He is very determined and very focussed on improving. His fitness, attitude and work ethic have never been in question. Connor is desperate to do well for his hometown club and make this work, and so am I. He is an experienced campaigner at this level of football and I am confident he will be a big player for us this season.’
