Following his unfortunate facial injury in the first half at FC United of Manchester, Connor Gudger has been advised he has a broken jaw and damaged teeth.
We are hopeful that he will be operated on today and we will keep you updated with news as we receive it. Both the club and Connor thank fans for their expressions of concern.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
UPDATE: Tue 28 Aug
Connor was released from hospital yesterday afternoon.He will continue to recuperate at home and will be on a liquid diet and unable talk in the short term.
He passes on his thanks to all the good wishes he has received from the club and supporters.
