Leamington's scheduled Vanarama National League North fixture on Saturday at home to Kettering Town has been postponed due to Covid-19 cases in the Poppies squad. We wish the individuals affected a speedy recovery. Brakes will now travel to AFC Telford United on Saturday with both clubs agreeing to bring forward the scheduled Easter Monday fixture. We will release match arrangements as soon as possible.

The draw for the Second Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup was made today at the Birmingham County FA Headquarters. After receiving a bye to the second round, being the current holders of the trophy, Leamington will host West Bromwich Albion in the Second Round with games set to be played before 27 November.

With the potential long term loss of Simeon Maye and impending suspension for Jack Edwards, manager Paul Holleran has moved to bolster his squad options with the loan signing of Joe Willis from our West Midlands neighbours Walsall.

The 20 year old, who scored against Brakes in a pre season friendly back in August 2020, came through the Academy at the Bescot Stadium, and made his debut for the Sky Bet League Two side in a Football League Trophy game in January 2020. He spent a month on loan at Southern League side Salisbury before signing his first professional contract in May of last year, before making his league debut towards the end of last season.
