Saturday's trip to Southport has been postponed, following a Friday morning pitch inspection.
The pitch at The Big Help Stadium is still frozen, and with temperatures expected to be lower than freezing again tonight and not above freezing in the day, the decision to postpone the game was made by a qualified official.
A rearranged date will be confirmed in due course. We'd like to thank Southport for their constant communication and for carrying out an early inspection, as well as the National League for agreeing to an early postponement.
There will be a Friday morning pitch inspection at 8:45 to determine whether Saturday's trip to Southport will go ahead.
With temperatures of -4c scheduled for both tonight and Friday night, an early inspection has been agreed to.
We will communicate the result of the pitch inspection on our website, social media channels and official club app.
Despite our best efforts, today’s game against Buxton has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
On arrival at the ground this morning, club officials found that temperatures had fallen to -5°c last night and contacted a local Step 2 official to conduct a pitch inspection, when the game was postponed.
A re-arranged date will be confirmed in due course.
Volunteers are no longer needed to remove the pitch covers, as they will stay on.
Entry to the weekly draw costs just £1
