Our physio Pete Denham gave us an update on the injury to Connor Gudger on the coach back from Stockport yesterday:
'Connor twisted his knee on Thursday (at Spennymoor), and at that time couldn't straighten it, couldn't bend it, but 48 hours later he's got a lot more movement into it, and when i've looked at it today he can't quite fully straighten it yet but it's a lot better than it was on Thursday. Connor is hopeful that he will be ok for next Saturday. I've looked at his knee, there's no swelling, my main concern is the medial ligament and that seems to be ok. If it improves as much over the next 48 hours as it has done so far he'll be a lot better.
Joe Clarke has got a calf problem, which is a little frustrating. He trained ok on the Thursday and was fine in the warm up before the Nuneaton game, but within ten minutes of him coming on, I wouldn't say it has gone again, but he's felt it, so it was obviously still a little bit weak. I saw him on Tuesday and it looked like it needed another 7-10 days. I'm hoping that fingers crossed both of them will be ok for the FC United game.'
