Manager Paul Holleran has advised that Jake Weaver is expected to sign for a Step 3 club this week.
The goalkeeper joined us initially on a season long loan from Birmingham City back in 2019, and after that season came to a premature end he signed permanently the following season, which sadly went the same way. He was one game short of hitting a century of appearances for Brakes.
'Jake leaves us with a heavy heart,' said the Brakes boss. 'He has had a huge impact on everybody at the football club. Him and his family have been fantastic people to have at the football club. Jake has had some wonderful periods in his time at the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts during that time, and we wish him all the best in the next step of his football career.'
On his departure, Jake had a message to the Brakes fans saying "I would just like to express my huge gratutude to everyone associated with the club and wish everyone well for the upcoming season".
