Joe Clarke and Connor Taylor are the latest members of the squad that finished last season to agree terms for the forthcoming 2022/2023 campaign.
Clarke, who begins his sixth season at Leamington having signed from Tamworth on our return to Step 2 football back in 2017, is closing in on 200 appearances for Brakes, and was a key part of the midfield once more last season, often captaining the side in the absence of Jack Edwards. He also scored a rare goal - a spectacular one at that - in the away win at Blyth Spartans, from just inside the opposition half!
On agreeing to commit for another campaign with the club, Joe said: 'I'm delighted to be at Leamington for another season. I feel part of the club! We were very unlucky with injuries last season, so fingers crossed we keep the group fit and improve on last year.'
Connor spent the majority of last season at Southern League side Bromsgrove Sporting, but with Brakes still holding his National League North registration he returned for the final ten league games, and made enough of a contribution to convince Paul Holleran to retain him for the new season.
Leamington born, Connor joined Brakes in 2018 from Tamworth, and in that time has made 78 appearances, scoring three goals and said 'I'm extremely happy to be back at my home town club for the new season, it’s a fantastic club that do things the right way. The gaffer has built a great squad and I will have to be at my absolute best to help push them on even further this year. I look forward to seeing everyone in a couple weeks!'
We welcome both players back for the new season and wish them every success!
