Two key members of last seasons squad have agreed terms for the forthcoming campaign.
Dan Turner finished as Brakes' top scorer, finding the net 18 times in 45 appearances, and also won the Manager's Player of the Season award in his first full season with us.
Dan told us that "I’m delighted to be back at the club for the new season and can’t wait to get going! Last season went well for me on a personal level getting plenty of games under my belt and scoring goals to help the team. Now I’m ready to kick on again and help the club push further up the table."
Meanwhile Dan Meredith was our top appearance maker last season, starting 49 games and fully establishing himself as one of the first names on the team sheet. His consistent performances earned him the Players Player of the Season and also the Supporters Player of the Season.
Dan Meredith looked back to last season, saying "I’m really happy to be at Leamington for another season, after a frustrating first season, last season was my most enjoyable season yet and the experience I’ve gained from playing so many games at this level has massively helped my progress as a player. Winning the Birmingham senior cup at Villa Park certainly made it a season to remember as a team and from an individual stand point it was a huge honour to pick up the players player and supporters player awards.
"It’s a great group and I think without the injuries last season we would have been much higher up the table, with a bit more luck and the same work rate and desire we showed last season I think we can push on as a group. With the mix of youth and experience in the squad along with the experience and support from the gaffer and the staff I think it’s an exciting time to be at the club."
'We're delighted to have them both back on board,' said manager Paul Holleran. 'There's more to come from both players and it would be no surprise if both of them took the same journey that many other young Leamington players have made in recent seasons.'
