Former Brakes loanee Sam Wilding has returned for a second spell at the club as Paul Holleran continues to work hard to strengthen his squad for the short term with key players still absent.
Sam made 14 appearances for Leamington after arriving on loan from West Bromwich Albion in the February of the 2018/2019 campaign, helping us to a comfortable mid table finish in the National League North.
Having spent the last season and a half up in the North East with Sunderland after being released by the Baggies in the summer of 2020, Sam has continued his development as a player, featuring regularly for the Black Cats' Under 23 side in the Premier League 2.
It will certainly be of benefit to have a player come in who is familiar with most of the squad, and we welcome Sam back to the club and hope he enjoys his time with us!
