Josh Martin has become the sixth member of last season's squad to agree a new deal for the forthcoming 2021/2022 season. Having bided his time to break into the team after joining the club towards the end of 2019, the former Birmingham City youngster really established himself in Paul Holleran’s starting eleven, predominantly at right back, playing in sixteen of our twenty games and putting in some accomplished displays.
‘I’m really pleased to sign for the next season, and excited to build on what we started last season but unfortunately couldn’t finish,’ said the defender. ‘We’ve got a great group of lads and I feel we can cause a few upsets this year and hopefully push on from our FA Trophy run last year. ‘It will also be great to play in front of the Leamington supporters again, who I’m sure are as excited as we are to see some football again.’
