Jack Lane is the second member of last season’s squad to put pen to paper and agree a new deal for the 2021/22 campaign.
A consistent defensive unit has always been a key element of Paul Holleran’s teams, and Jack has fully established himself in the centre of the Brakes defence since joining the club in September 2018 from National League North rivals Alfreton Town. He was ever present last season, and surprised his team mates, supporters and possibly even himself by scoring one of the goals of the season at Curzon Ashton.
Jack is fast closing in on 100 appearances in a Brakes shirt, and said ‘I am delighted to sign on again for another year. Leamington is a perfect fit for me. It’s rare that you find a manager who manages his players so well. We had a close knit group last year so hopefully we’ll see lots of familiar faces again for the new season and I’m hoping we can push on from what would have been a successful season last year and have another positive one this year in front of our fans, who I’m sure can’t wait to pack out the new stand!’
