Brakes skipper Jack Edwards has become the first member of last season’s squad to agree a new deal for the 2021/2022 season.
With a great deal of anticipation throughout the game as the European Championships approach and with the gradual roll out of supporters being able to attend matches again, Leamington fans will welcome the news that one of their most consistent and committed players will lead them into battle once more in the National League North in August.
Since making his debut at Hednesford Town early in the 2014/15 campaign Jack has established himself as one of the first names on Paul Holleran’s team sheet. A brief sojourn at Solihull Moors did not diminish his standing with the fans, as Jack was soon back where he knows he is loved.
Closing in on a place in the modern day hall of fame at the club as he approaches 300 appearances for us, Jack said ‘I am proud to have the opportunity to lead the team out for what is probably the most eagerly anticipated season since I have been at Leamington, having been part of some great performances last season, and with the fans being able to attend games once more. See you all soon!’
