League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far - and what’s to come!

Up to now...

It’s been a decent start for the Brakes who recently celebrated Paul Holleran’s 500th game at the club. Defeat on Tuesday night against Boston wasn’t ideal but they can be happy with their start so far. Plenty of time yet!

The man in the dugout…

Who said loyalty was dead in football? Paul Holleran has been the Brakes’ boss for ten seasons and is loved by fans of clubs across the National League. He’s worked wonders in the last couple of seasons especially – are Leamington the dark horses for a play-off push?

Key game so far...

Beating Brackley Town will have boosted everyone around the club. After starting the season with a good point at Kidderminster, beating last season’s third-placed side was the perfect way to show they mean business this year.

Stand-out guy...

With the departure of Colby Bishop in the close season, Leamington needed a hero – but he had big shoes to fill. Enter Josh March who has wowed fans with his work rate and prowess in the box so far.

Stat attack...

League position: 9th

Home goals for: 3

Away goals for: 2

Home goals against: 1

Away goals against: 3

Top scorer: Jordan Murphy, Josh March (2)

Coming up...

August is always a gruelling month and there’s no let up for Leamington yet. A trip to York on Saturday should give them a good marker to where they’re at.

What to expect…

The title favourites have lived up to their pre-season billing and will be looking to make the top spot their own as quickly as possible. Expect an all-out attacking assault from Steve Watson’s men.

Their one to watch….

Andy Bond arrived under a cloud of excitement from AFC Fylde this summer and he hasn’t disappointed. The midfield maestro has already established himself as an integral cog in their well-oiled machine.

Last time out….

York nicked it back in March courtesy of an early striker from Alex Kempster. Leamington will have to be wary of the frontman once again.

League sponsors Vanarama have recently launched the National League Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club’s budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Mototama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback!
