Paul Holleran has moved quickly to fill the void left by the departure of goalkeeper and captain Tony Breeden by signing Jake Weaver from Birmingham City.
22 year old Jake was the trialist between the posts in last Saturday's win over West Bromwich Albion's Under 23's and has signed on a season long loan from the Blues, for whom he signed a new 1 year contract in the summer. The goalkeeper has been a regular for the Championship sides' Under 23’s under our former player-coach Richard Beale, having been at the club since the age of 12, and is no stranger to our level of football having spent time on loan at Hungerford Town and Kidderminster Harriers last season, along with a further spell at Hednesford Town in the Northern Premier League. Jake was named in Birmingham’s first team squad for a number of games in 2018/19.
We would like to welcome Jake to the club and hope he enjoys a successful time with us.
