With injuries and suspensions limiting his options, after much hard work Brakes boss Paul Holleran has been able to add another new face to his squad in the shape of young midfielder Elliot Hodge.
The Nottingham born 23 year old was most recently at League One side Burton Albion on a short term contract after impressing in pre season.
The son of former Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Tottenham and England midfielder Steve Hodge, pacy winger Elliot completed a scholarship at Notts County before signing for Lincoln City in 2015. He spent two years with the Imps, appearing for the first team as well spending time on loan at Stamford and Stafford Rangers along with spells in the National League North with Gainsborough Trinity and AFC Telford United.
Signing for Notts County in the summer of 2017 after being released by Lincoln, Elliot spent time on loan at Alfreton Town early in 2018.
‘I’m delighted to have Elliot until the end of the season,’ said Paul Holleran. He’s a player we’ve enquired about on a couple of occasions before when he was at Lincoln and Burton and the opportunity arose to bring him in. Obviously with one or two injuries we’ve been trying to enhance the group over the last couple of weeks and I think Elliot will be a good addition with his ability to play in a number of positions. He’s an attack minded player and I am looking forward to working with him. I am sure that the supporters will enjoy watching a player whose first thought is to get at people, and hopefully he will make a positive impact with us.
