The club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Adam Walker.
Having left our Vanarama National League North rivals AFC Telford United earlier this week, Paul Holleran moved quickly to snap up Walker, who has spent the majority of his career playing at Step 2 and above, and lives locally to Leamington.
'I'm delighted to be able to bring in a player of Adam's calibre,' said the manager. 'He brings a wealth of experience at this level of football and is very well thought of at all the clubs he has played for. We are looking forward to working with him.'
Adam began his career at Coventry City, making two appearances for the Sky Blues' first team in the Championship before a loan spell at Nuneaton Town was made permanent after he was released by Coventry. He went on to make over 200 appearances for the Boro' as a key member of Kevin Wilkin's side as they climbed from the Southern League to the National League.
Adam moved on to Solihull Moors for the 2015/16 season, and was part of the squad that won the Conference North. He then spent three seasons at Brackley Town, where he was part of the side that won the FA Trophy in 2018.
After over 100 appearances for The Saints he joined Telford in 2019, making over 70 appearances and captaining the Bucks.
We would like to welcome Adam to Leamington Football Club and hope that he enjoys a successful time with us.
