Liam Daly developed into a fine centre back during his two spells at Leamington, spanning four seasons. He was one of Paul Holleran's first signings ahead of his first full season in charge, 2010/11, as he raided one of his former clubs Halesowen Town once more, and Liam was able to resume his defensive partnership with Jamie Hood at Leamington. He left us part way through the following season for Barwell but was re-signed later in the same campaign, and went on to become club captain and a key figure as Brakes won the title in 2013. A solid first season in the Conference North caught the eye of Solihull Moors and he returned to one of his former clubs in the summer of 2014. An indicator of how highly Paul Holleran rated Liam was that he started every game he played for Leamington.
