Stefan Moore probably made the biggest impact of any Leamington debutant since the renaissance in 2000 when he bagged a hat trick in his first game for the club on New Years Day 2013 in a 6-1 win Bedwortth United. His signing after being released by league rivals St Neots Town proved to be a masterstroke by manager Paul Holleran as his goals contributed to the club eventually lifting the Southern League Premier Division title for the second time.
Stef remained with us into the following season as we competed at Step 2 for the first time in 28 years, in the Conference North, and the goals continued to flow. Unfortunately this meant he was in demand and he was snapped up by league rivals Brackley Town at the turn of the year.
By the beginning of the following season Moore was back at Leamington however, but left again mid way through, this time for Solihull Moors where he won the National League North title in 2015/16.
Stefan returned to Leamington for a third time towards the end of the successful 2016/17 campaign which saw Leamington return to Step 2 by winning the play offs and also winning the Birmingham Senior Cup for the first time in many many years. He remained a member of the first team squad into the following season but worked alongside Martyn Naylor in a coaching capacity and also in the Community with the junior sides.
Beginning his career at Aston Villa in their academy, he captained them to FA Youth Cup success in 2002/03, and went on to play for the first team. He also played for the likes of Queens Park Rangers and Walsall in the Football League, along with several loan spells at other clubs, and was a regular scorer throughout his time in the non league game.
