Dan Pirvu stepped up two levels to join Leamington from near neighbours Southam United in summer 2009 as Jason Cadden prepared his squad for the Southern League Premier Division for the first time since 1985. He certainly looked capable of making the step up in the games he played, indeed it was only while he was off the pitch receiving treatment that Farnborough scored their equalising goal on the opening day of the season, going on to win 3-1. Dan left the club in October 2009.
