Paul Holleran signed former Birmingham City youngster James McPike for Leamington in February 2010. The striker had plenty of competition for places with Mark Bellingham, Luke Corbett and Matt Lewis also at the club but gained instant hero status among the Brakes support when he helped the team to their first win over rivals Stourbridge since the renaissance, the Glassboys having become something of a bogey side during Jason Cadden's time in charge.
