Adam Knight joined Leamington in the summer of 2006. Having been signed on as cover towards the end of the 2005/06 campaign he was an unused substitute in the Midland Alliance League Cup Final defeat to Barwell at Walsall's Bescot Stadium, but made his debut in the opening league game of the following season and was a regular starter as Brakes romped to a League and Cup double and promotion back to the Southern League.
Adam scored twice for the club, a brace in a 3-3 draw at Alvechurch which saw the birth of the cartwheel celebration which team mate Ben Mackey 'stole' from him! 'Knighty' will always have a place in the hearts of those Brakes fans who travelled to Merthyr Tydfil for the second year running to take part in a 6 a side tournament. Despite having been out after the end of season presentation evening the night before, where he won the Manager's Player of the Season award, Adam drove all the way to South Wales to take part with us, showing a prowess in front of goal that took his team all the way to the final, where they were narrowly beaten.
Adam only played three games the following season before deciding to leave the club.
