James Husband signed for Leamington mid-way through the 2005/06 season after moving to the area to study at Warwick University, and went on to become only the second player since 2000 after Josh Blake to reach 300 appearances for the club, becoming part of the furniture at the New Windmill Ground for the next eleven seasons. Despite not featuring too many times his last three campaigns Paul Holleran knew he could call on him at any time, and handed Husband his 300th appearance in an FA Trophy replay win at Rushall Olympic in November 2015.
After quickly becoming an integral part of Jason Cadden's side James enjoyed 3 promotions, 3 league titles and a cup win in his time at the club, and regularly chipped in with his share of goals. Undoubtedly one of the modern day Leamington FC greats!
