Paul Holleran eventually signed Joe Halsall in November 2015 having been trying to add him to the squad for some time. Joe had featured in pre season friendlies prior to the 2013/14 campaign but had remained with near neighbours Stratford. Joe joined an exclusive group of players to score on their debut for Leamington when he netted the opening goal in a 2-0 win over Cirencester Town on his debut, and went on to make 18 appearances in the 2015/16 season as Brakes ended with a play off final defeat to Hungerford Town. Despite being signed on as cover the following season Joe did not make another appearance for us.
