Lee Downes signed for Leamington in the summer of 2010 as Paul Holleran began to shape his own squad ahead of his first full season in charge at the club. The experienced midfielder was made captain as Brakes made the play off semi finals, but left the club towards the end of the following season. Lee scored his only goal for the club in a 5-0  home win over Bedford Town in March 2011.
