Leamington FC, in conjunction with Warwick District Council, are pleased to announce a WW1 Commemorative Day on Sunday 7th October 2018. The event commemorates 100 years since the end of World War 1 and will feature many activities throughout the day including a re-enactment of the legendary 'Christmas Truce' football match between ex servicemen kicking off at 2pm.
The day starts at 11am and runs through until 3pm.
The licensed bar will be open for refreshments and in addition the clubhouse will be transformed into a tea room where you can enjoy Cream Teas provided by the staff of the Brunswick Hub (BHLC). Cream Teas can be pre-booked by calling into BHLC or call them on 01926 422123. The cost will be £5.95 per person or 2 for £10 and will include a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, teatime cakes and a pot of tea/coffee. Time slots available for this are 11.30-12.30, 12.30-1.30, 1.30-2.30.
Other activities during the day will include a Gun Run, a trench experience, a WWI art competition, old time amusements, bouncy castle, many craft stalls and plenty of music provided by 1940's model and Burlesque artist Kitten Von Mew.
