The club are delighted to announce the signing of striker Owen Farmer from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 20 year old hails from Solhiull, and can operate across the forward line. He joined the Molineux side as a 14 year old and has attracted a lot of attention with his progress; noted for his efficient movement and technical qualities by the Wanderers' Academy staff, and being named among a number of players at Premier League clubs as a 'one to watch' by the Guardian in 2021.
Owen has scooped Academy Player of the Season and Academy Scholar of the season awards during his time at Wolves, and turned professional in December 2022. Having scored goals and provided assists at different levels, Owen then spent time with the Wolves first team. He spent a productive time on loan at our National League North rivals Rushall Olympic last season, but has now made the decision to join Brakes, and will take squad number 24.
