Brakes fans will be delighted to hear that Cally Stewart has agreed terms for a second season at his hometown club.
The 22 year old enjoyed a memorable debut campaign in Gold and Black, as his 22 goals in 47 games contributed hugely to Brakes' immediate return to the National League North. All the more impressive when he was playing Step 5 football the previous season, winning promotion with Coventry Sphinx.
'I'm buzzing to be fair! It was a no brainer really,' said Stewart. 'Being a local lad and having such a successful, enjoyable season last time out, when the gaffer said he wanted to keep me I didn't have any second thoughts.'
We know we speak for all Leamington fans when we say that we are looking forward to seeing how Cally attacks Step 2 football in the 2024/25 season.
