Devon Kelly-Evans has become Paul Holleran’s third new signing of the close season.
The 24 year old former Coventry City man, who along with his twin brother Dion represented the Sky Blues at every level, was last at Nuneaton Borough, for whom he made over 100 appearances having spent time on loan at Liberty Way in their previous incarnation of Town while still at Coventry. He made a big impression at our Warwickshire neighbours, winning all of their Player of the Season awards in 2019/20.
The manager was pleased with his latest piece of business, saying ‘I’m delighted to get this one over the line. Devon is someone who has played in the local area at Coventry and Nuneaton over a number of years. He is a tremendous professional and very versatile. He linked up with us late in pre pre-season but we know how valuable he’ll be to us and we are looking forward to working with him.’
‘I’m very happy to be signing for the club,’ said Devon. ‘It’s a step in the right direction going back up a level. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the manager and team chemistry they have here. The last few weeks have been tough but very enjoyable. The lads have welcomed me in and made me feel at home, and I can’t wait for the season to start.
‘It’s great to have fans back and I look forward to seeing them. It’s a tough league full of very good teams but we back ourselves to compete against anyone. I’m excited to see how far we can go this year.’
