Following the decision of the Vanarama National League to suspend all football until 3rd April, 2020, the Board of Directors has taken the decision to additionally suspend all football activities at Leamington FC.
Due to the ongoing and fluid situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, the first team coaching staff and players will remain away from the club until 3rd April.
The club office will also be closed during this period with volunteer staff working from home. We would ask for understanding from our loyal fan base, as our staff safety is paramount.
We are looking to follow all government guidelines to ensure the safety of those staff, volunteers and supporters. We urge everyone to keep reading the NHS guidelines and keep abreast of the latest developments.
The following fixtures against Brackley Town FC (21.03.20), Darlington FC (25.3.20) and Boston United (28.03.20) have all been postponed. The club will keep supporters updated as soon as it is possible, but in the short term there will be no arrangements made to reschedule these matches until we have the information required to do so.
The financial situation of the club is under urgent review as we seek to determine and understand our options in these difficult times.
We will endeavour to keep staff and volunteers informed throughout this ever changing situation.
Finally, and most importantly, we want to send our best wishes to all of our supporters, club partners and everyone within the local community. We hope to see you all again at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium as soon as possible, but in the mean time please take care of each other and remain safe.
Jim Scott
Chairman
