Liam joined Brakes on loan from then League 2 side Northampton Town in November 2022, and improved with every game he played. He began to add goals to his game too, scoring three crackers in wins over Curzon Ashton, Brackley Town and Hereford, before Northampton reaclled him just hours before a vitally important game at Kettering Town, stating that he was required due to injuries, but he did not appear in a single matchday squad for the Cobblers after returning, which was hugely disappointing for both the player and the Brakes fans, as he could have easily been  the difference between survival and relegation. Nonetheless, Liam was undoubtedly a bright light in our season.
