Former Aston Villa youngster Kelsey signed for Leamington following his release from Scunthorpe United in summer 2021.

The 22 year old was a regular scorer as he spent 12 years working his way up the ranks at Villa Park, and made his professional debut while on loan at Cheltenham Town, scoring his first goal soon afterwards.

Kelsey experienced the National League North during two spells with Hereford but his first campaign at Leamington was his first playing regular senior football, and he was clearly acclimatising to it when his season was bought to an untimely end as he suffered an ACL injury in an away game at Farsley Celtic in March.
