Laurie Walker is probably quite high on the list of the best loan players Paul Holleran has brought into the club during his time in charge. The talented goalkeeper played 20 games for us during the memorable 2012/13 season which saw the club win the Southern League Premier Division for the second time. Laurie got off to quite a good start, helping the team to a 2-1 win at then fierce rivals Stourbridge in the Southern League Cup on his debut before taking over between the posts for the majority of the rest of the campaign, making a vital contribution as Brakes saw off Stourbridge and Hemel Hempstead Town to claim the title.
