Having lost Nathan Vaughan to Kidderminster very late in pre season, Paul Holleran moved quickly to sign the experienced Kevin Sawyer before the final two warm up games. Despite keeping four clean sheets and almost winning Brakes a penalty shoot out after they had stumbled in an FA Cup replay against Belper Town, Kevin conceded 17 goals in his 13 games for the club, and was allowed to leave for Mangotsfield United in October 2013.
