Jason Cadden had been trying to get local lad Guy Sanders on board at Leamington for some time, and finally got his man towards the end of 2007. The central defender arguably turned out to be one of Cadsey's best signings for the club as he helped Brakes back to the Premier Division, chipping in with a decent amount of goals in the process. A no nonsense character at the back, Guy could also strike a mean free kick, and was missed when he departed for Barwell during the 2010/11 season. He did return to help us out in the play off semi final at Hednesford at the end of that season, where we sadly fell short in our bid for promotion.
