There will be more than a few Brakes fans that will be delighted with the latest squad update - Jiah Medrano has agreed terms with manager Paul Holleran to remain at Leamington for the forthcoming season.
The 21 year old was one of the manager's earliest signings last summer, as he worked hard to prise him away from the clutches of Nuneaton Borough. Having gained good exeperience at Step 4 with Shepshed Dynamo, Jiah's first season at Step 3 was a watching brief at times; but he still made important contributions in his 24 appearances, scoring two goals and contributing to others.
Despite his frustration at not getting more game time, Medrano endeared himself to the Leamington support with his determintation to make things happen on the pitch, and his desire to remain involved when off it.
'Once the gaffer told me I would be a part of his plans for the new season, it was a no brainer,' said Medrano. 'I am very happy to stay at such a great club. I've got a special relationship with the fans, and with their backing, there is no stopping us. Up the Brakes!'
