Tom Hewlett spent a just over a month with Brakes on loan from League 1 Burton Albion during the 2022/23 season. His game was all about goals, and he was clearly not happy unless he was on the pitch with a chance to score. He certainly did that on his home debut, notching a brace against AFC Telford United, and followed it up with the winner from penalty spot in a 2-1 win over eventual Champions AFC Fylde.
