Young goalkeeper Dan Ward was unexpectedly pitched into action on Boxing Day 2012 at Banbury United after Niall Cooper was sent off. He at least managed to help stem the flow of goals as we were already 3-0 down when he came on! 

Dan went on to become involved with the physiotherapy side of the backroom staff at the club in the seasons that followed after a long term injury prevented him from playing.
