Darren was signed in the summer of 2016 and proved to be a vital cog in the Brakes engine room as Paul Holleran's side won promotion to Step 2 for a second time. The manager desperately wanted to keep one of his star players but Darren eventually opted to return to hometown club Banbury United as with a young family and being based in Banbury he was unable to commit to the large amounts of travelling in the National League North. He will definitely be missed.
