Paul Holleran snapped up Richard after he left Solihull Moors towards the end of the 2014/15 season.

It was seen as a major coup when he agreed to remain at the club for the 2015/2016 campaign, and that has been reinforced by some commanding performances during last season, when he covered several injury gaps.

Richard worked his way through the ranks at Walsall to make his first team debut at a young age and went on to make nearly 200 appearances for the Saddlers over 6 seasons before joining Worcester City in 2013 after a brief spell with Pelsall Villa.

Richard is a versatile player who is able to operate in defence or midfield, and despite being only 27 he has a wealth of experience in the professional game which has been of great benefit to Leamington.
