Rob signed for Leamington in summer 2016, having previously spent a brief loan spell with us in 2012/13. He had a fine first season in Gold and Black, making 54 appearances and scoring 12 goals, establishing himself as the regular penalty taker. Two of his spot kicks were pivotal to our success, the late equaliser in the play off final against Hitchin Town, and the opening goal in the Birmingham Senior Cup Final against Wolves at Molineux.
In his second campaign he scored 7 goals in 6 games in pre season, adding another 6 in the first three months of 2017/18 before deciding to leave the club.
Thompson-Brown arrived at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium off the back of another good season, first at Stratford Town and then Redditch United, who finished as runners up but were then defeated on penalties by Brakes in the play off semi final. He began his career at Kidderminster Harriers and has also turned out for Nuneaton Town, Daventry Town, Hednesford Town and Halesowen Town. He was a part of Stratford’s play off winning side in the South & West division in 2014/15.
